| Turunç, a small town near Marmaris |
| |
|
Turunç, a small holiday resort, is situated 21 km from the tourist centre Marmaris. The surrounding area is a gift of nature in different shades of green and blue, with numerous bays along the coast and small villages in the mountains. The Bay of Turunç, backed by high rocks, is one of the most beautiful spots on the whole southern Turkish coast.
Here you can enjoy the sea and go on small or bigger tours by car, by coach or even by boat. Perched above the small resort is the International Academy Marmaris or IAM for short. |

| People who come to IAM may be: |
| |
Artists (on their own or who come with friends and/or family) who want to use the facility as somewhere to work and somewhere to meet people. Working assignments which are funded or sponsored by other organizations are also possible.
Artists giving courses and the people taking part in their workshops. As a rule, the artists bring the people participating in their courses with them.
Artists who are invited by IAM to come and work within the scope of the guest artists programme (involving a two-week stay at IAM; some of the works produced during the stay are donated to IAM).
Art lovers who wish to participate in this creative atmosphere and would like to avail themselves of the opportunity to see artworks being produced.
And, last but by no means least, all friends and sponsors of IAM both from the home country as well as from other countries.
The centre is also available for meetings and further training courses in the scientific and social fields.

Accommodation |

|
The complex comprises two buildings, a residential building with 22 rooms and a studio building, and the two are linked to each other by a spacious terrace with a swimming pool. If people do not meet by visiting each other in the studios, then they meet on the terrace. The terrace provides an opportunity to have company or to be on one's own. The view in any direction - up to the mountains, into the pine trees or down to the bay - is incredibly beautiful and brings new surprises every day. |

You will have fond memories of our excellent cuisine. Whenever the weather is nice, people eat outside on the terrace, of course. There are staff available there at all times. |
